Not only does this sound like a totally moving experience that can push us through those tough moments, but it is also a great way for us to involve you, our supporters, in our race day. Please, share with us any special needs or petitions that you want us to pray for. It can be a person in your life, an event, a cause, or anything really.
We are really looking forward to the race day and to hearing all of your wonderful petition requests! Thanks!
What a great idea, guys! I may have to steal it for our marathon in November - it sounds totally inspiring! :-)
ReplyDeleteOne thing I have been praying for/thinking about while training is for all those who are not as fortunate to have been blessed with able bodies and can't physically train/run like you are. Offering a prayer of gratitude for the ability to have this experience and offering up that experience for those who can't have it is always motivating for me.
Julie - I think about this ALL The time when running. Especially in my moments when I think "I...cannot run...any farther" I remember those less fortunate. I have added your prayer to my list! :)
ReplyDeleteI loooove this idea, girls :) What generous, giving people you are!
ReplyDeleteWow - I'm famous! Thanks for the shout-out! I think an obvious one would be safe travels and best wishes to Lynn and Mike in their move "out east"!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to cheering for you two! I'm excited for you!!

Jenny and Lynn.....you two are inspirational. How about praying for World Peace. This seems like a good day to think about this concept. Maybe it will become a reality and not a pipe dream.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your run!
Love,
Jimbo
