Let's Make a Bet...

Jenny and I have been counting the miles that we have run during the course of our training. You can see the tally to the right. At this point we have run 460 miles!

I think it would be fun to guess what our total milage will be after we run the marathon! The person who guesses closest without going over will get a prize!!

Keep in mind that we both contribute to this number. We run 3-5 days per week. There are only around 6 weeks left, and we only have one obscenely long run left before the big race!! This number should also include the 26.2 miles of the marathon.

    Ok, my guess is 358.40. My calculation is quite complex, and I can share it with you if you'd like... j/k. :-)

    p.s. Paul and I have 14 miles this weekend - any words of advice?

    Ok I just added the 5 I did last week, my 18 from the weekend, and the 3 i did yesterday. Keep the guesses comin' folks.

    Jules - You've GOT THIS 14 miler! Do you have water stops planned? Little refuel snacks? I love the Gu Chomps and Energy Beans - they're both so yummy and it gives me something to look forward to along my run. Where are you guys going to be running? I am doing 13 on Sat. morning - want to do this together????

    Jules - Thanks for participating, but we have already run 486 miles so your guess of 358.40 may be a little off. Care to readjust your calculation?

    Good luck on the 14! Find a new route with new scenery! That's the only thing that keeps me occupied. That, or get really angry right before you go and then think of comebacks the whole time... that works too!

    Oops, sorry, I misunderstood the bet - i thought it was how many LEFT not how many TOTAL!!! That makes my total bet 744.40. :-)
