I have a confession to make. I did not run my 11 miles this Saturday! OOPS!!
But I have a good reason. My husband, Mike, myself, and friends, Ryan and Heidi, took a weekend trip to Disney World (one of the perks of living in the panhandle). So, instead of running 11 miles one day, I walked about 272 miles for 3 days! Let's just chalk it up to cross training. We had a great time and can't wait to go back! Next time I'll go running with Mickey!

Ah, you beat us to Disney! Glad Mike and you had a good time with your friends and Mickey. You truly do walk many many miles in the Parks.
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to see you both!
Anyway- good luck to you and your friend Jenny on training for the race. I dug up a few quotes to maybe help you dig deeper!?- see below
God Bless-
Cousin Pat
"The five S's of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit."
- Ken Doherty
"Your training partner's name is pain. You start out trying to ignore him. Can't do it. You attempt to reason with him. No way. You try to strike a bargain. Hah. You plead. You say "Please stop, please go away. I promise never ever to do this again if you just leave me alone." But he won't. Pain only climbs off if you do. Then you're beaten. "
- Scott Martin
